"My introduction to the MMO genre came at the outset of FFXI. I was a pretty dedicated player, always seeking to find the unknowns and see the unseen gems of Vana'diel. I played every job to understand what separated a good from an excellent player at that job. I ended up with a disturbingly large collection of wonderful memories, cherished friendships and a dirty blue hat I stole from an old man.

This attitude has spilled over into the next installment. From its very announcement I have been fascinated by the new world of Eorzea. I am excited to create new memories and friends.

The real difference between an MMO and a console RPG is the establishment of a community. It is the interaction with those around oneself that generates the confusion, frustration and heart felt satisfaction that keeps us logging back in.
